What types of events can be hosted at Villa Stenberg?

Villa Stenberg is available for weddings, corporate events, retreats, birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings, holiday parties, workshops, and other private events. The estate is designed for both elegant celebrations and relaxed experiences.

How many guests can Villa Stenberg accommodate?

From May to September:

• Terrace party tent: 80 guests
• Heated orangerie: up to 40 guests
• Combined terrace capacity: around 100 guests
• Barn: up to 70 guests

The estate also offers:

• On-site accommodation for up to 50 guests, separate beds for approximately 30 people
• Parking for approximately 40 cars

How do I reserve a date?

We will arrange a private viewing of the estate and prepare a personalised quote for your event.

Submitting a reservation request does not require payment. To confirm your reservation, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival.

What can I book at Villa Stenberg?

At Villa Stenberg you can book the Villa, the Beach House or both, depending on the size and style of your event.

The Villa

• Accommodation for up to 24 guests
• 8 overnight guests are included in the base price

The Beach House

• Accommodation for up to 16 guests
• 8 overnight guests are included in the base price

Villa + Beach House

If you book both the Villa and the Beach House, the base price includes 16 overnight guests in total. 

Additional overnight guests:
50 € per person / per night

Note: Children under 2 stay for free

Add-Ons:

If you need more space, you can book our Glamping Cottage as an add-on.

Glamping Cottage

• 250 € per night
• Two separate rooms with their own entrance
• Each room accommodates up to 4 guests

The Barn

• 450€ 
• Seats up to 70 guests
  
• Fully equipped bar area with a fridge, freezer, and multiple electricity outlets for catering
• Outdoor grill and convenient parking right in front for caterers and guests 
• A stage, microphones, and a Bluetooth sound system make it perfect for toasts, live music, or even a lively karaoke session

Next to the Barn, a newly built outhouse facility with three dry toilets ensures comfort for all guests.

What else is included in the base price?

When you book the Villa, the Beach House or both, you also have access to a variety of amenities to make planning your event easier.

Included in the base price of the Villa:

• The terrace party tent
• Beautiful serving dishes and tableware
• Stylish event furniture
• A decorated wedding arch (customisable for ceremonies)
• Decor elements, including faux flowers, vines, decorative fabrics, and string lights
• Sound system, microphones, and speakers for speeches
• The Villa has its own beach access. However, the lakeside ceremony location with the wedding arch is located in front of the Beach House and is only included when the Beach House is part of your reservation.

Included in the base price of the Beach House:

• Access to the lakeside ceremony location
• A decorated wedding arch (customisable for ceremonies)
• Stylish event furniture
• Beautiful serving dishes and tableware

If furniture is moved during your event, we kindly ask that you return it to its original placement before check-out.

What kind of decorations and other extras does Villa Stenberg offer for events?

Villa Stenberg is already beautifully styled — saving you significant rental and decoration costs.

We offer:

• Gorgeous gardens, forest paths, lake views and fields
• A romantic Japanese garden
• Multiple ready-made photo locations (no extra photoshoot venue needed)
• Two wedding arches with basic décor (fully customizable)
• A large collection of faux flower vines and fabrics for your creative use
• String lights on all terraces and in the barn
• Elegant furniture and chairs (no chair covers needed)
• Vases for your flower arrangements

Tableware & Equipment for up to 100 Guests

For day/evening guests that don't stay the night, we charge €25 per person, which includes venue rental and additional tableware. All your guests will be able to use:

• Beautiful tableware and glasses 
• Serving dishes
• Furniture 

White tablecloths can be rented from us at very reasonable rates:

• Villa's dining room table 20€
• Tables in the orangerie (3 tables) 60€
• Tables in the party tent (6 tables) 120€

The tables in the party tent and the orangerie are 3m long and 1m wide - in case you would like to bring your own tablecloths.

Is there a minimum stay?

Summer weekends (June–August):

• 2-night minimum stay

Weekdays:

• One-night bookings are possible

Standard check-in: 15:00
Standard check-out: 12:00

Is early check-in or late check-out possible?

Yes, subject to availability.

Early check-in (from 9:00):

• The Villa – 375€
• The Beach House – 175€
• Villa + Beach House – 500€

Late check-out (until 18:00):

• The Villa – 375€
• The Beach House – 175€
• Villa + Beach House – 500€

Many clients turn their event into a full weekend experience — welcome dinner, main event day, and a relaxed brunch the following morning.

Where can additional guests stay nearby?

Nearby accommodation options include:

• Hotel Omenatarha – 2 km (walkable)
• Koivulan Kartano – 7 minutes by car
• Hotels and Airbnbs in downtown Lohja – 15 minutes by car

For larger events, we recommend reserving room blocks at Hotel Omenatarha early.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes — you are welcome to bring your own catering and beverages.

To support this flexibility, we provide:

• 5 large fridges/freezers
• Villa (2)
• Cellar (1)
• Beach House (1)
• Barn (1)
• Cool storage cellar

This allows you to fully control your event budget and choose catering that matches the style of your event.

What staples are the kitchens equipped with and what do I need to bring myself?

Both the Villa and the Beach House kitchen are equipped with:

• Paper towels
  
• Basic spices such as salt and pepper
• Dishwashing detergents
• Baking paper, tin foil and cling film

We kindly ask you to bring your own coffee for our filter coffee machines.

Is music allowed? Can I hire a band or DJ?

Absolutely.

Included at the venue:

• Sound systems on the terrace and in the barn
• Microphones and speakers for speeches

Bands and DJs are welcome (they must bring their own equipment).

Please note: Loud music must conclude at 22:00, in accordance with local guidelines.

Guest numbers and selected add-ons are confirmed 30 days before arrival.

If we do not book the Beach House, can someone else book it?

Yes. If the Beach House is not included in your reservation, it may be booked by other guests during the same period.

Please note:
The lakeside wedding ceremony location is available only when the Beach House is part of your booking, as the beach area belongs to that property.

Can I bring my own sheets?

Yes, of course! 

Are candles allowed?

Tea lights are permitted when placed in proper holders.
For all other candles, we kindly ask that LED candles are used.

We also provide lanterns and candlesticks if needed.

Are there any noise restrictions at Villa Stenberg?

Villa Stenberg is surrounded by nature and the closest neighbour lives about 150 m away, so you’re free to enjoy music during your stay. However, we kindly ask you to conclude amplified music after 10 PM, as sound carries far across the lake. 

Do you partner with any catering companies?

Yes! Our trusted catering partner, T Catering, can provide delicious, beautifully presented meals for meetings, dinners, and festive occasions. To make your event truly unforgettable, the experienced team can organize a full-service, sit-down dinner for your group. Check out their menus and get a quote.

Can you recommend a wedding photographer?

If you are still looking for a photographer, we warmly recommend Eeva Forsström. She is a wedding photographer whose style is natural, timeless, and refined.
